Destiny Worship Pavilion
In 1999, what began as a fleeting thought, grew into a vision planted by God into the heart of then Associate Pastor Carlton Brown. In those days, Bethel congregants would cram into an 700 seat sanctuary for two services each Sunday. One day, while looking out into the under-utilized parking lot of the property, God said to him, "We can build here!” Although not a construction professional by trade, the Lord began to direct Brown through conversations and negotiations with various partners to begin this new walk which was truly "by faith, not by sight.”
On a humble yet poignant weekday afternoon in 2006, then Senior Pastor Carlton Brown, along with his his wife - Pastor Lorna Brown, his predecessor - Bishop Ezra Williams and the entire staff stood in that very parking lot with the developers and other partners and broke ground on what was to eventually become a 47 unit Rental Property (now known as "The Pavilion Off The Park”), a 206 unit Condominium Property (now known as "Fifth On The Park”), a commercial parking garage and the new future sanctuary for Bethel Gospel Assembly. This formidable journey would culminate with a victorious march into the Destiny Worship Pavilion on Saturday, November 10, 2017.
