Associate Pastor Lorna Brown is a native of St. Thomas United States, Virgin Islands. However, she
considers herself a missionary to Harlem, New York since she has spent the majority of her life in New
York City. Associate Pastor Lorna’s greatest joy in ministry comes from serving the Lord at Bethel
Gospel Assembly Inc., in New York City, where her husband, Bishop Carlton T. Brown, serves as Senior
At Bethel Gospel Assembly she provides leadership to the Bountiful Blessings Banquet and Fellowship Hall
– which is a full-service catering facility operated by the church that services both the church and the
community. As a well-experienced marriage counselor one of her passions now is to provide pre-marital
counseling for many who are preparing to make this important life decision.
Associate Pastor Lorna has launched “Try Love Ministries” which focuses on empowering young
women to walk in the full manifestation of their purpose. Through this para-church organization, Pastor
Lorna provides mentorship, study opportunities and training for ladies over the age of 16. She is devoted to
preaching and teaching and has ministered internationally in Kenya, East Africa, Jamaica, Panama,
Venezuela, Aruba, Barbados and Cuba. She has participated in several conferences in New England, The Mid
West, North Carolina, Florida, and New York City. She is a regular speaker at the United Pentecostal Assemblies of God Conference each July.
Associate Pastor Lorna has a passion for education, and lives by the motto – “Education is its own reward”. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Masters Degree in School Administration & Supervision, and a Masters of Science in Education from Mercy College. Her secular training led her to serve in the Board of Education for many years as both a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. Associate Pastor Lorna
is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Ministry from Alliance Theological Seminary.”
Associate Pastor Lorna and her husband have been in love and happily married for 43 years. They have two adult children, Justin and Carla and son-in-law, Kinshasa Madison.
Pastor Lorna Iona Bell Brown
Since 1997. Associate Pastor Mimsie Robinson has served as the missions minister of Bethel Gospel
Assembly in New York City. He has been involved in disciple-making efforts in India, Nigeria, Equatorial
Guinea, South Africa, Venezuela, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and several islands in the West Indies. His
oversight of the church’s missions programs include Harmony Christian School in Rustenburg, South Africa
and Union Garden’s Christian Academy in Kingston, Jamaica.
He also serves as the chairman of the board of Beth-Hark Christian Counseling Center, Inc. which is the
non-profit social service arm of the church which meets the holistic needs of many people in Harlem and
New York City. Through involvement with Evangelism Explosion International as a teacher/trainer, he has
been able to help many believers become effective witnesses at home and abroad. His involvement with the
transformative course, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, includes serving as an instructor,
class coordinator and professor of record for Trinity Evangelical Seminary. Associate Pastor-Elect Robinson
counsels married couples, mentors men and has a passion to help young people grow to their full potential,
spiritually and otherwise. He also gives leadership to Bethel’s small group initiative known as SHARE. In
2009, Associate Pastor Robinson helped plant Living Water Christian Center, a bilingual French and
English congregation, affiliated with Bethel Gospel Assembly which serves the spiritual needs of the growing
number of French speaking West African immigrants in New York City. He presently serves as the Executive Pastor of this growing congregation of 200 men, women and children. Pastor Robinson has a growing passion for reaching Muslims from the African diaspora. His dissertation topic is “Describing the Conversion Experiences of Muslim Background Believers in the Metro New York Area.” The goal is to use the knowledge gleaned from the study to develop more effective discipleship of West African Christians who in turn will make disciples of Islamic people in New York and abroad.
Another motivation for his present degree pursuit is the desire to play a key role in the development of impactful missional leaders amongst Christians of all backgrounds. As of October 18, 2019, it has been confirmed by the doctoral committee that he will obtain his Doctor of Missiology degree in December 2019 and he is hopeful that this will provide new Kingdom Building opportunities. Prior to working on this doctoral degree, Associate Pastor Robinson obtained a Master of Professional Studies in Urban Ministries and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary in 2001 and 2006, respectively.
Prior to serving Bethel in vocational ministry, Associate Pastor Robinson obtained a Bachelor of Arts in biology and sociology in 1985. In 1993, he earned a Master of Arts in science education from New York University. As a former NYC Public School teacher, Pastor Robinson’s accomplishments include being named the 1997 New York State Teacher of the Year and the 1997 New York University School of Education, Health and Nursing Alumnae of the Year. Pastor Robinson is married to Minister Beverly Lynn Robinson who serves as the Minister of Music of Bethel. Together, they lead Bethel’s Married Couples’ Ministry. They reside in the Harlem community. Their children are Michelle Lavonne who is married to William
Clark and David Ezra who is married to Jennie (formerly Jeune). Both couples are members of Bethel.
Pastor Mimsie Robinson
Associate Pastor Ebony Shanin Small is a dynamic woman of faith, impassioned by her strong
conviction in Christ alone. Born in New York City, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of
eleven, yet it wouldn’t be until she became a young adult that the reality of Jesus Christ as Lord of her life
took up root and cemented her walk with God.
Associate Pastor Ebony is Vice President of Multiplication at PULSE Movement, a ministry committed
to awaken culture to the reality of Jesus. Prior to joining the PULSE team, she was the Director of Movement
Day Expressions at MOVEMENT.ORG and journeyed with this ministry for eight years playing an integral
role in the growth and development of Movement Day Expressions globally serving over 30,000 city leaders.
Her passion is to be positioned by God in bringing forth the transformative power of the Gospel to the lives
of people through mentoring, leadership training and ultimately high-level collaborative partnerships
which impact cities and the globe for the cause of Christ.
An excellent communicator, preacher and teacher of the Word, she has taught bible study classes, lead var-
ious workshops and training seminars. She has been a guest speaker at Q Conference, Amplify, Collyde,
TOGETHER, The Table Coalition, Movement Day and at many other church and para-church events.
Associate Pastor Ebony was appointed Co-Catalyst for Cities with The Lausanne Movement in 2016, a role she held until 2019. She has worked to build engagement by emerging leaders in city gospel movements and to that end serves as a mentor for the Lausanne Movement’s Younger Leaders Generation initiative, on the board of The Table Coalition (formerly Mission America Coalition) and served on the Advisory Board of Cru NYC Millennials. She is also the author of, “The Leader in You: Discovering Your Unexpected Path to Influence”, slated for release by InterVarsity Press, June 2020.
Associate Pastor Ebony was ordained in 2013 and currently serves as an elder at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. (BGA) in Harlem (New York City) under the leadership of Bishop Carlton T. Brown. She has a distinct passion for women and next generation leaders to actualize their calling in Christ and be launched as ambassadors of the faith revealing to others the transformational power of God’s Word. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master Professional Studies degree with distinction from Nyack College’s Alliance Theological Seminary. She resides in the Bronx, New York.
Pastor Ebony Small
Associate Pastor Robert I. M. Soverall is a native of Brooklyn, New York and serves the Kingdom of
GOD as a worship leader, musician, recording artist, speaker, teacher, producer, song writer, choral director
“Pastor Bobby” (as he is affectionately known) holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Music
Performance from the Conservatory at Brooklyn College. He served as musical director for Integrity
recording artist Alvin Slaughter from 1996-2008 and as Worship Pastor for the Valley Stream Baptist
Church in Valley Stream, New York from 2008-2013. Bobby has ministered throughout the United States,
Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, Japan and The Philippines.
Associate Pastor Robert I. M. Soverall was ordained into Pastoral Ministry in June of 2009 at Valley
Stream Baptist Church. At present, Bobby leads worship and serves as Elder of Worship & Arts at Bethel
Gospel Assembly in New York, NY and also sits on the Board of Elders at his home church.
Teaching is an important part of his ministry and Bobby enjoys imparting to others that which he has
learned along his journey. Bobby, his wife Patricia and their two adult children, reside in Brooklyn, New York.
His heart-cry is for the true worshipers to exalt the Father with passion and conviction or, as the Bible proclaims: “in spirit and in truth."
Pastor Robert Soverall
"God has a tendency of picking up a nobody, to be somebody, in front of everybody, without consulting
anybody.” Born in New Orleans, Louisiana and led to the Lord at the age of ten, Zelda and her five siblings
were raised in a Christian home and witnessed a Godly commitment to ministry through the example of
her mother and extended family members. As a result of this tremendous example, she has dedicated
her life to serving the Lord wherever He allows. Zelda serves as an ordained Minister at Bethel Gospel
Assembly, Inc. in Harlem, New York, where Bishop Carlton T. Brown is the Senior Pastor. At Bethel, Elder
Zelda also serves as a Worship Leader.
Pastor Zelda Washington is a proud graduate of New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, Zelda
pursued a career in acting for several years. She has had the blessed opportunity to professionally tour
on national and international stages. She has also worked in the film and television arena. She is a
member of Actors Equity and SAG unions for professional actors. In addition to having a life-long passion
for acting, Zelda has been obedient to the call of God on her life. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from
Alliance Theological Seminary where she obtained a Masters of Divinity.
She has a servant’s heart and utilizes her gifts and talents to bring light in dark places, hope to the hopeless,
and advocate for those that are voiceless. She has served as a school counselor in New York City Public Schools and is currently an elementary school principal at Bushwick Ascend Public Lower Charter School in Brooklyn, New York.
Those who have sat under her ministry have been heard to report that even her humming brings them to the throne of grace. She is a creative, poised, dynamic and powerful woman of God with a unique gift. She has traveled and ministered in St. Vincent, Barbados, St. Martin, Bahamas, Russia, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Brazil, Germany, Argentina and throughout the United States.
Zelda is grateful for accomplishments which she has achieved only by God's grace and mercy realizing that it was no goodness of her own! Even though she has been blessed to participate in a number of great and successful works nationally and internationally, she recognizes that real success is knowing who she is in Christ. It is her heart’s desire in this season to reach God’s people by any means necessary by putting flesh on the gospel, making it relevant and tangible to all. Her life’s motto is, “It is well.”
Pastor Zelda Washington
Born and raised in New York, Rev. Mark L. Williams has committed his life to reaching the world for Jesus
Christ by any means necessary. For more than twenty years, he has functioned in different ministerial
capacities, both on the local and international levels. To this day, Rev. Mark still wears many hats in the
Kingdom of God. A former deacon, Rev. Williams is currently serving as Elder of Youth at Beth Gospel
Assembly where Bishop Dr. Carlton Brown is Senior Pastor. He is also the Deputy Director of International
Ministries for Urban & Global Missions Alliance (U.G.M.A.), an international mission organization founded by
his late father, Bishop Dr. Ezra N. Williams with various operational partnerships both foreign and domestic.
Rev. Williams has made numerous missionary journeys to India, Panama, Aruba, Venezuela, St. Vincent,
St. Marrten, Zambia, South Africa, and Jamaica and continues to do so as commissioned (1972-Present).
Rev. Williams is a noted Bible Teacher and serves as an instructor for the Bethel Bible & Missions Training
Center where he teaches introductory classes and advanced courses. Recognizing his gifting for clear,
practical and effective teaching, Rev. Williams is often called upon for conferences, seminars, workshops
and retreats. After being recommended for registry with Outstanding Young Men of America, Mark Williams
was inducted into the organization’s roster in 1989. An excellent writer, Elder Williams is currently
developing a teaching series which will later become a book entitled, “From Covenant ToCompleteness.”
Following his entry into full-time ministry in 2000 he developed Lion’s Whelp Cub Club Summer Program, and assisted in the planning of Cash for Guns Event in one of Bethel Gospel Assembly’s gyms, where 140 guns were turned in including 40 handguns and 80 automatic weapons.
Following sixteen years in Publishing in the field of Magazine Production, Rev. Williams became a Court Liaison for Consultants for Criminal Justice Alternatives (F.E.G.S.) from 1992 to 2000, where he produced hundreds of pre-pleading/pre-sentencing reports with treatment plans for alternative sentencing options involving those in the New York Criminal Justice System. He was ordained as an Associate Minister in 1995.
In 2015 Rev. Williams became a Faith & Justice Fellow with the FPWA.
He is currently assisting Senior Pastor Bishop Dr. Carlton T. Brown in developing a network of churches working with community-based organizations to address the issue of gang violence and those of inner-city communities of the underserved. The goal is to rebuild the Harlem community using education, career development, technology, criminal justice services and recreation each guided by Christian professionals
with a compassionate ministry approach to personal transformation.
Rev. Williams holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattan Community College and a Master’s Degree in Professional Studies from Nyack College’s Alliance Theological Seminary with a focus in Urban Ministry. Rev. Williams has been married for 34 years to his wife, Deaconess Miriam Williams. She is the perfect spiritual and professional compliment to his ministry. They have three adult children (Israel Rios, Kendra Williams-Moreira and Alyssa Williams) and six grandchildren (Nicholas, Lorenzo, Feliz, Alesiana, Jeremiah and Jesine). This home model of Faith, Family and Education constitutes the background inspiration and motivation for Rev. Williams’ approach in ministering to children and their families which he classifies as
being the ultimate Urban Renewal agenda.
Pastor Mark L. Williams
Associate Pastor Reginald (Reggie) H. Worley accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior
at the tender age of seven years old. He became a member of Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc (BGA) in 1998.
He has since grown into a man of God, passionate about the transformative power of God’s Word fully lived
out in His people.
Associate Pastor Reginald believes that to sustain the longevity of the Christian church you must
form solid, long-lasting relationships with the youth and young adults. He has served at BGA as a
minister-in-training since 2014 and currently is the auxiliary leader of the Gym Ministry, Teen Church
and co-leads The Third Service.
Associate Pastor Reginald is the Coordinator For Provider Relations at 1199 SEIU Benefits and Pen-
sion Funds. He is married to his beautiful wife of four years, Shanah Alaya. The two share a vivacious two-
year old son, Avery. They reside in Harlem, New York City.
Pastor Reginald Worley
Born in Kingston, Jamaica and led to the Lord at the age of nine by her mother, Ruth-Ann and her brother
Ray were raised in a Christian home and witnessed a Godly commitment to ministry through the example
of their parents Ray and Doreen Wynter. As a result of this tremendous example, at a young age, Ruth-Ann
dedicated her life to serving the Lord through whatever door He may open. In 2008, Ruth-Ann was ordained
as an Elder at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in Harlem, New York, where Bishop Carlton T. Brown is the
Senior Pastor. After serving in a variety of capacities at Bethel, currently Ruth-Ann serves as the Director of
Ministry Relations and Pastoral Affairs. In this role she is responsible for being the Pastoral Assistant to the
Senior Pastor and oversees several teams in the church handling among other things, media and press
relations on behalf of the organization, as well as hospitality and the care of special guests and special
events for The Office of the Bishop.
A proud graduate of New York University, Ruth-Ann has pursued a career in human resources management
in the entertainmentindustry and has been privileged to hold challenging and rewarding executive positions
throughout her professional journey. These positions include leading human resources teams at media
conglomerate Time Warner, advertising agency Deep Focus and global entertainment company Live Nation
Entertainment. She was also privileged to serve as the National Director of Human Resources for RocNation,
which was co-founded by Hip Hop Icon Jay-Z. At present, Ruth-Ann is the Senior Human Resources Business Partner for United Talent Agency (UTA), one of the world’s premier entertainment companies, representing clients in every current and emerging area of the entertainment industry. Based in New York City, Ruth-Ann provides support for employees based in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Miami, London and Malmo, Sweden.
Ruth-Ann expresses her continued commitment to the development of today’s youth by serving as President of New Horizons Ministries Inc., a non-profit organization founded by her late father, Rev. Ray R. Wynter. New Horizons has been dedicated to helping young people master the challenges of daily living for the last 43 years through their camps, retreats, conferences, special events and luncheons, thanks to the
tireless efforts of their 100% volunteer staff.
The Lord has used Ruth-Ann’s love of music to open doors for her to work alongside many national gospel artists and organizations in major events for over 20 years. She is currently the General Manager for VMan Entertainment, LLC, the music company founded and led by Gospel artist and business executive, VaShawn Mitchell. She also serves on the board of the Gospel Heritage Foundation founded by industry trailblazer, Dr. Theresa Hairston, which is committed to equipping and inspiring those involved in the gospel music industry, while celebrating the genre’s rich heritage.
Ruth-Ann firmly believes that according to Mark 10:27 “with God all things are possible” and is fully committed to working “while it is day”. Her motto with which she walks through life is: “There is no limit to what can be accomplished as long as it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.”
Pastor Ruth-Ann Wynter
