Missions Ministry
Missions Ministry (established in 1930)
Bethel's Missions Ministry focuses on a holistic presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ locally and globally. This ministry gives oversight to the various Long term missionaries currently planted on the field of South Africa, St. Vincent, Jamaica, and Equatorial Guinea. In addition it coordinates the several short-term missions excursions Bethel participates in each year. The ministry also coordinates the many partnerships Bethel maintains with local and global ministries in various nations including India, Zambia, Nigeria, Albania, Cameroons and many others.
Currently Bethel has 4 Missionaries on the Fields including –Dr. Ruth Onukwue, MD (our former Mission Director 1973-1999) – Missionary to South Africa and the Transkei since 2000; Pastor Cecilio Mitchell – Missionary to St. Vincent –North Union Church since 2003; Mendal Rodgers – Missionary to Equatorial Guinea since 2005 and Pastor Ridley Buchanan –missionary to Jamaica since 2007. Bethel’s current vision statement states that its goal is to have 20 missionaries serving in the fields by the year 2020.
